New Painting

smlpride.jpg

This is a painting I just finished.  It is part of a series of paintings including my son.  I hesitate to call this a portrait of  myself and my son.  It is more of a modern “mother-child” image.

The title is “Pride”.  There are peacock feathers in the background.  I happen to have a tattoo on my arm of a symbolic peacock feather.

Cape Cod Museum adds “Sisyphus” to Permanent Collection

My painting “Sisyphus” has been added to the permanent collection of the Cape Cod Museum of Art.   It is a wonderful, growing museum and I recommend if you are in Cape Cod to visit.  Sisyphus in Greek Mythology was a king punished by being compelled to roll an immense boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this throughout eternity.Sisyphus
